Brief Description:  Big Wires

I installed the main and auxiliary Odyssey PC680 batteries as well as the contactors, and laid out, constructed and connected the large cabling from the batteries to the contactors and the engine, alternator and starter. Mil-Spec 2 AWG was generally used although 4 AWG "flexible" cable from B and C Specialty was used for very short runs where I didn't have enough flexibility to run the thicker cable. The ground on the engine side goes from a forest of tabs to two brass bolts secured to the Full Pump pad cover via two flexible ground cables. Grounding on the cabin side of the firewall uses a through a brass pass-through bolt adjacent to a pair of AMP M-series grounding connectors for the smaller grounds.
