Brief Description: Aux Fuel Tank Cutout and Access Panel 1
I cut out the aux fuel tank panel (for the right wing). The inboard and outboard cuts are just inside the third bay ribs. I set the aft cut 3/4 inch in front of the aft false spar, mimicing what was done on the main tank by Avipro. The front cut is placed just aft of the front spar. I drilled a 3/16 inch hole in each corner from the inside out, with the hole centered 3/8 inch out from the corners, so as to have a little leeway. I marked the lines on the outside of the wing based on the holes drilled, and cut them with a pneumatic Dremel-type cut-off tool. I used a succesion of files, starting with a Vixen culminating with a fine file to smooth the edges. I successfully placed the aux tank into the bay from the under wing surface.
