Brief Description:  Fuel Tank Welding 1

I spent some time working out the fuel sender flange location, two lightening holes aft of the spar, and figured out where to put the flange. The fuel sender flange holes were tapped, and .050 inch ground tabls were bent and drilled to fit a 6-32 screw and nut. The fuel filler neck was cut down to be flush with the skin when the Aero filler neck sleeve was in place using a pneumatic cut-off tool. These components were TIG welded. In addition, an outer and aft fuel vent bung was TIG-welded in place. After that, I pressure tested the welds and found two small leaks, which were welded, and tested to be no longer leaking. I'm not sure it's necessary, but after pressure-testing and leak testing, I Scotch-brited tje tank, and alodined it.
