I took a couple weekends off for and work. I used a cylinder hone to open up the filler neck, so that the Avipro gas caps would at least fit into the filler neck Even with the Avipro gas cap no longer binding in the filler neck, the fit was quite tight and I could see how it would get old trying to the caps off. Accordingly, I special ordered a set of Aero gas caps. The retaining rings were about .11 to wide to slip into the filler necks, so I turned them down on a mini-lathe. Next, I'll have to fit the tanks and trim down the necks so that the filler cap is flush, and then weld it into position.
