Brief Description:  Instrument Lighting

I ran the wires from the dimming circuit to the individual panel lights. As all the instruments use different lighting systems, I used fixed 1/2 watt 10 and 39 ohm trimming resistors for the Castleberry attitude indicator and the UMA airspeed (which uses a Nu-Lite). The Aerosonics altimeter uses 5 volt light bulbs, and Aerosonics wouldn't rebuild it with 12 volt light bulbs.respectively. Accordingly, I used a 12 watt 25 ohm rheostat to step the voltage down to 5 volts for the altimeter. I used a Van's dimmer, which is good for 1.5 amps. I measured the total amperage with a VOM to be .81 amps.
