Brief Description:  Gear Fairing 3

I commenced the lengthy process of finishing the gear fairings; trimming followed by three courses of sanding followed by epoxy-microballoon slurry, followed by sanding. After that, there was two coats of grey filler primer followed by white sandable primer. Next, I used AC Spruce P/N 05-00599 E channel for the gear to fuselage seal and Trimcraft Aviation Piper wing root seal P/N TA897 MIL-R-6855 for the inboard strut fairing. One thing I found helpful was to flip the front lip of the channel forward when adhesing the channel to the fairing. In retrospect, I wish I had put masking tape on the fairings to protect them prior to trying to attach the rubber - that would have allowed more adhesive to be used safely.
