Brief Description:  Roll Servo

I didn't want to put the roll servo at the floorboard by the control stick, as I think it's hard enough to get in and out of the aircraft as it is. I didn't want to put the servo out in the wing as it is not easily inspected in that position. Mark Goldberg has his mounted in the aileron cable pass-thru using a capstan servo, which I thought was a relatively good idea. I started out making two trial mounting plates starting on the left side prior to the final version but ended up having to put the servo relatively central, just to the left of the trim cables. Trutrak wants a .063 inch plate to mount the servo, that makes a relatively large and heavy plate, so I put lightening holes in the plate. The trim cables tend to bind on the aileron cables anyway, and definitely would rub on the capstan cables, so I incorporated a phenolic fairlead in the plate to keep the trim cables up. I had to elevate the servo 0.65 inches using bushings to keep the capstan from binding the aileron cable, and had to relieve the vertical stiffening bends in the vicinity of the aileron cable to preclude wear. I shortened the Trutrak servo wiring harness cable and wired up the DB-9 connector and routed same. I still have to prime and paint the panel.
