Brief Description: Flap and Aileron Gussets and Trailing Edges
I riveted the gussets, which had been only pop-riveted in place prior to hinge installation, onto the flaps and ailerons. I was able to use a pneumatic squeezer using a 6 inch C-yoke and a no-hole yoke, and didn't have to buck any rivets. I tried several ways of riveting the trailing edges, and came to the conclusion that using a NAS cheater rivet, which has a a thinner chamfer edge, is probably the best way to go. It allows using a solid rivet, and countersinking doesn't penetrate though the outer skin.
Flap middle gusset.
Using 6 inch yoke.
Cheater and standard rivet, driven trailing edge rivet.
