Brief Description:  Flap Cable Fuselage Penetration

I made right and left 1/8 inch galvanized cables which plug into the Y at the aft baggage bulkhead. I used Georg's pictures of where he had the cables penetrate to calculate where the cables went through the fabric, and made a small incision where indicated. Using a right-angle square set on the baggage door top frame, the right penetration was 5.43 inches aft of the outer fairlead and 3.81 inches above the baggage door top frame. Setting the right-angle square on the window frame, the left penetration was 3.30 inches aft of the pulley bolt center and 4.68 inches above the window frame. Your mileage may vary. The leather pieces on the cable are a Univair Cub doily, I'll trim them to fit in the fairing and glue them in place once I have the flap cable fully tensioned. I used four washers on the left pulley to bring the pulley out from the fabric so it wouldn't rub. I'll make a standoff bushing when I finalize the installation.
