I wanted to jack up the front of the plane to see where the landing gear cutouts of the boot cowl go when there is no load on the aircraft. I welded up some jack points to capture and retain the pipes which I slipped over the Harbor Freight long stroke bottle jack shafts. The jack points also protect the engine mount from scuffing during jack operations. The two 4 inch steel channels are bolted together with angle iron.
