Brief Description: Inboard Strut Fairing Retract Spring
The inboard strut fairings tend to ride up and outboard with landings. Taking a hint from a Sport Aviation article last year, I added a spring to pull the inboard strut fairings back down against the fuselage. I used a spring from a Lowes multi-pack, and outboard engaged a cotter pin I had fiberglassed into the inside of the fairings when I made them. I cut down the spring so as to provide the appropriate tension and secured it to the aluminum adjacent to the aileron pulley using a fender washer and short clevis pin. Works well.
