The zinc-chromated ailerons and flaps need to be covered with an epoxy prior to fabric covering. So, all the surfaces were cleaned with alkaline cleanser and Scotch-Brited. In addition, the flap and aileron hinges needed to be cleaned with alkaline cleanser and Scotch-Brited, followed by alodining. In addition, the roll servo support bracket needed to be primed, as well so the same process was undertaken. Stits white epoxy primer was used to prime all the above. Also, it should be noted that two holes on each aileron needed to be pop riveted, accordingly, Avex 1/8 inch rivets were used. Finally, the roll servo bracket needed to be painted with Epoxy Gray to match the rest of the interior.
