Brief Description:  Fuel Tank Sender 1

I want to use electrical fuel senders so as to take advantage of the fuel monitoring capabilities of the AFS EFIS. I'm using resistance senders, because I plan on using MOGAS, and capactive senders require different calibration depending on whether AVGAS or MOGAS is used, and if AVGAS and MOGAS are mixed, who knows what you have. Anyway, after looking at several senders, I settled on the VDO sender, available from Summit Racing for about $30 per. They're built stout. Originally, I'd hoped to be able to mount the senders on the top of the tanks, but there isn't enough room, so they will have to be side mounted. Accordingly, there will need to a bend put into the senders. I'll need to get or make a steel plate in order to put the bend in. In the meantime, I punched out the center of the AC Spruce flanges so as to be able to pass the sender and fuel bulb and then trimmed the flanges down into a circle on the bandsaw followed by the belt sander, for later welding.
