Brief Description:  Defrost Diffusers and GPS Puck Mount

I trial fit the windscreen and marked out where it fit onto the boot cowl, so as to determine where to put the GPS puck and defrost diffusers. The aft line is the worst case scenario where the windscreen is as fully aft as possible and the forward line shows the likely position of the windscreen, when it fits with the wing. I used a set of salvage Twin Comanche diffusers, centered the hose connections on the diffusers and placed nutplates for mounting the diffusers. I trimmed to fit SCAT tubing and connected the diffusers to the defrost valve (again Twin Comanche), and connected the defrost valve to the heat valve. The Garmin GPS puck has a single central mounting screw on its base, which is probably metric (no screw provided), however, its size was close to a 4-40 screw, so I tapped the screw to 4-40 and mounted it accordingly. In addition to a drill hole and bushing so as to pass the cable below the boot cowl, I cut out a channel so the cable wouldn't be captured by the panel. The channel is covered up by the fuselage penetration subpanel, seen in Image 3. I also cut the GPS puck cable, which was about 10 feet long, so as to make it fit into the wiring harness without redundancy, and reaccomplished the D-sub connector using crimp pins.
