I was concerned that there was a lot of load on the Avipro .040 inch thick instrument panel with the weight of all of the avionics, particularly in positive G maneuvers. Acoordingly. I fabricated a support pad to additionally bear some of the weight. I used a nylon pad to actually interface with the avionics stack, and I put the boot cowl back on so as to get the proper fit. Because my panel hinges for maintenance purposes, it took me a while to figure out a relatively simple design to accomplish the goals of weight support without cable or wire interference, but I think this worked out fine. The nylon pad was tapped and is secured in place with two 6-32 inch screws.
