Brief Description:  Avionics 1

Kelley Babin wired my avionics for a reasonable fee; because the Advanced Flight Systems EFIS is a work in progress with nearly monthly new features, he wired in breakout terminal strips so that future product upgrades could be easily accomodated. Accordingly, I mounted the terminal strips on a single piece of aluminum which is secured to the left subpanel with three Southco fasteners. This will allow the terminal strips to be removed and dropped down below the panel to be reconnected as needed. Alternatively, the instrument panel can be tilted forward and reconnections undertaken from above. Enough cabling was allowed so that the tilt forward panel will allow easy access to the back of the panel. The two larger PCB's are Van's light dimmers, the smaller PCB is a 1 amp variable power supply to provide power to ANR headsets.
