I fabricated a backing plate, alodined and applied nutplates to it. I trimmed, drilled and countersunk the Lexan lens, and installed nut plates in the retaining ring. After removing the blue foam from the light housing, applying filer and sanding same, I epoxied the housing to the nosebowl using fiberglass tape. I drilled a pair of ventilation holes in the top of the housing and painted the inside with Rustoleum Hammertone silver. The outer portion of the ring will be painted with the nosebowl color. I installed a .093 Molex 4 conductor connector and secured the wiring to the backing plate with an Adel clamp.
