I assembled the flap handle and control stick assemblies, along the way powder coating the flap pushbutton. I used colored cord to check placement. It was necessary to move the flap handle a washer width away, so that the flap cable wouldn't interfere with the bottom elevator bellcrank (Image 1). The control stick needs to be as far aft as possible to minimize the angle from the fuselage side pulley, but if too far aft, the nuts will impinge on the cross-tube. After optimizing the various positions, I made aluminum spacers for the bellcrank pivot tube, and cotter pinned it in place.
