I used the welding jig to drill the 1 inch piano hinge, and removed 1/8 in from each end of the quickbuild panel so that it would fit. After centering and placing a few clecos, it appears that the hinging will work. Next will be dimpling and riveting the hinge and panel. While putting the boot cowl in place, I'll use a locking nutplate mechanism to adjust panel tilt so the electric attitude indicator will be happy.
