Brief Description:  Overhead Antenna Doubler

As anticipated, the antenna manufacturer Comant recommends a doubler, using AC 43-13 as a reference. That FAA publication recommends the doubler tie into stringers and ribs, which in this installation, aren't available for use. So, a bit of overkill seemed appropriate. Using time honored formulas of 2D and 4D rivet spacing for edge and rivet spacing, I felt 2/3 coverage of the width of the panel and and longitudinal stiffeners that carry the load past the next support would be appropriate. This is heavier than I'd like, but on the other hand, it combines three antennas into one, and should provide the basis for a better ground plane than simply a pedestal welded to the fuselage. Now it just needs priming, which I'll batch with other items.
