Brief Description: Fabricate and Weld Tabs For COM/GPS Ant Mount
Made tabs and welded to fuselage; two additional stringer standoffs were placed; a sheet of .032 Aluminum will be riveted to the tabs, and will have a bent flange to bolt to three sets of the standoffs. This should smooth airflow over the top of the fuselage and provide a reasonable ground plane and mounting surface for the ComDat antenna, which will combine COM, GPS and XM Sat Wx. Holes will be provided for rib stitching as well. Next step will be to reprime and paint the fuselage where the paint is burnt.
