The AFS EFIS's are capable of showing Zaon XFR traffic data on their Map views; accordingly, I wired up a cable to provide power, ground and a serial port connection to the one remaining serial port on my two EFIS's. I won't be able to test the unit until it's flying, so I only could do the software setup and ring the pinouts to make sure that it should work. The unit needs to be at least 6 inches from obstructions and at least 5 inches from the magnetic compass and fortunately there is just enough room for that.
