Brief Description:  Tail Fairing 3

A couple of useful tips for making the stabilizer fairings. The channel is very narrow and difficult to drill without removing the stabilizer. I found a short strip of 4130 bent with a lip and a hole .02 iinches out from the bend was useful for keeping the drill bit from wandering. Also, Klein tools makes a tap which has 6-32, 8-32 and 10-32 taps on it. It turns out to be very handy for tapping the holes very close to the fuselage. Finally, I used a 7/8 inch bit of pipe as a male die, and cut a 1 inch diameter hole through a 2 x 4, which I cut in two to act as a female die, to bend the .025 inch 2024-T3 I used to make the stabilizer fairings.
