Brief Description:  Wing Root Aft Fairing

I made aft wing root fairings out of .032 inch 2024-T3. Eric Newton describes increasing setback to gain the bend radius needed to be slightly larger than the wing root radius. Unfortunately, the needed setback is about twice the allowable by adjusting the brake. Accordingly, I removed the brake feet and used some pine wood, tapered back by 45 deg on the band saw, to get about 120 deg of bend. I completed the remainder of the bend in the vise between two 1x4 inch pieces of wood, and fairly closely approximated the needed bend radius. It took a few tries to get the proper bend radius and also the desired contour. I chose to use a different means of sealing the wing root to the fabric, such that rather than butting the fairing to the fabric, I will bring the channel down over the top so as to hopefully end up with a more aerodynamic configuration.
