Brief Description:  Oil Return Fitting 2

I called ECI, and Joe, the southwest customer service rep, said they'd let a few cylinders out of the factory after rework without replacing the fittings. He agreed the fittings would be unlikely to not leak and should be replaced. He offered to send me new fittings and even pay for a maintenance shop to replace them. It would be a major hassle just to pull the cylinders again. That being the case, I gritted my teeth, and replaced the two fittings. The first one, came out very easily. The second had a lot of resistance throughout its extraction, and basically tore out the last few threads. I freshened up the threads wth a 1/4 inch pipe tap, and the new fittings went in easily. I ended up making a new oil return tube on cylinder #5, as it had partial collapseo of the tubing presumably owing to installing and removing it three times. I used 5052 tubing which is less likely to be easily distorted.
