Brief Description:  Flap and AIleron Hinge Nutplates

I had originally installed the flap and aileron hinges using standard nuts rather than nutplates, apparently not inspecting the Barrow's drawings close enough. After some talk of adjusting wing high-wing low problems by putting an AN470 washer under a hinge, I went back and checked the plans, and sure enough, it did call out nutplates. Rather than drill out all the rivets I'd put in installing the stiffeners in order to gain access to both sides of the nutplate, I decided to proceed using Cherry pull rivets rather than solid rivets, The stainless 3/32 inch Cherry's are actually stronger than solid aluminum heat-treated rivets, and since the metal is thick enough, it was possible to countersink with an extension, rather than dimple. I put the rivets in coated with Zinc Chromate, and replaced all the standard nuts on both flaps and both ailerons with 10-32 nutplates.
