Brief Description:  Upper Panel

Completed the SPT connectors between the upper and lower panels. After double checking, turned on the master switch, and presto, the panel came alive. The flash from the camera obscures the Whelen Post lights, but they appear to cast proper illumination on the 31/2" gauges.
I wired the Hobbs meter to a micro-switch activated by the collective. This way, only flight time will be recorded.
The chronometer in the lower panel is wired to the auxilary battery; it has such a low curent draw it shouldn't effect the state of charge. Other builders have stated the timer is the best and simplest way to keep track of fuel consumption. The aux. battery is hard wired to to a remote trickle-charger connection, which relieves me from accessing the hard to reach aux. battery in the pod.
