Brief Description: 35 - Landing Gear and Engine Mount
Page 35-06 ; Deburred nose fork and machine countersunk the rivnut holes in the top flange (for the fairings) and #40 holes both sides. Tapped the holes on the top 5/16-24. Predrilled with a 6,5mm drill. The best is a I drill (.272") according the tap drill chart. Assembled all three wheels and torqued the nuts/bolts to 100 inch-pounds except for the bolts to fasten the brake disc (50 inch-pounds). Pressurized the tires up to 28 psi.
I only had L shaped allen wrenches. Took a hacksaw and cut of the straight part. With that and a socket wrench I was able to use the torque wrench.
