Brief Description: Removed skin from VS, Started Rudder
De-clecoed and removed skin from VS skeleton and set aside. Waiting for my EZ-Burr tool to arrive tomorrow so I am not going to spend time de-burring the 1,000 holes on both sides using the hand tools (probably not too far from that amount in reality - there are a lot of holes!) Hopefully it will live up to its expectations because de-burring is a very tedious and boring process.
I moved along to gether all of the rudder components in section 7 from inventory and worked on marking and rough shaping the rib clips, shear clips and stiffeners with the band saw. I then shaped them to final size using the grinder and started de-burring the outside edges that I could with the scotch brite wheel. Tomorrow will work on deburring all of the edges of the rudder components and then de-burring the VS holes.
Removed skin from VS and set in a safe place - Most use my garage pull-up bar has seen in a while :)
Pulled all Rudder components from inventory
All parts shaped to proper size and partially de-burred
