Warmed up the shop and the canopy with a space heater underneath, then marked and made initial cuts to the canopy. I favor a dremel tool with thin cutoff wheel over the grinder wheel and air grinder that Vans suggests...more precision and less mess, since less material is being removed to make the cut. Belt sander smoothes the edge after each cut. Tomorrow: The Big Cut!
