Brief Description: powdercoat supertracks and slider rails
Disappointing result! The supertracks parts turned out great (thankfully ) but the slider rails came out a little dull in spots, I think maybe they got too close to the heat coils. So then I turned up the voltage on the gun and recoated them and baked them again which is supposedly OK per the manual. Now multiple splotchy areas. WIll likely have to reorder this material and rebuild the sliders, not a big deal. At least it didn't happen to the $$supertracks!.
Need to devise a better temp controller for this oven, talked to my brother (ex-appliance engineer) and he gave me some ideas. Ordered up a PID controller and a couple relays on amazon.
Will press on for now and reinstall on the plane so I can get going on the canopy while I wait for Vans to ship me some more slider material. Live and learn!
