with elevator trim installed, checked balance and found R elevator (with trim) pretty close, but L elevator way heavy on the arm. Drilled a bunch of holes to lighten it up, left it just a bit heavy to account for added weight of paint on sheet metal surfaces. Once painted we will check again, but this should be really close.
Had to remove some metal to get proper gap between HS and elevator, it was a bit too close. Therefore needed to re-do one foam insert as well. Spent a couple hours sanding, trimming and contouring micro to achieve smooth, consistant, attractive gap between HS and elevators, add more micro, sand it off, rinse and repeat, over and over, etc. etc. etc......... I love fiberglass work!
