I finished making reinforcement doilies for the rudder, horizontal stab, elevator and trim tab.
I did the final shrink, 300 degrees, on the ailerons, flaps, rudder, horizontal stabilizers, elevators and trim tab.
On the ailerons and flaps I burned through the fabric for the rivets, applied reinforcement tapes, burned through again and installed fabric rivets. At one point during the build I thought I would rib stitch the fabric to the ribs. I changed my mind and used the rivets supplied with the kit. I’m glad I did. It took about 20 minutes to put in all the rivets on the flaps and ailerons. It would have taken hours to rib stitch those surfaces. I’m glad to me moving along.
