I started fitting the fuel tanks to the wings. I made slight modifications to the root ribs so they would slide over the rivet heads holding the Wing Joint Doublers and fit in place. I also relived some material from the root ribs so the fuel outlet hardware will fit past the rib. This is a very tight fit. I removed enough material so the fuel fittings will fit but I would have to remove too much from the rib to allow the fuel strainer to be removed. I’ll have to wait to go any further with the tank installation until I can get some sealant and install the strainers in the tanks. Once the tanks are installed there will be room to install the fuel line fitting to the strainer but I won’t be able to remove the strainer itself.
