I started working on the wing strut brackets several days ago. The instructions referred to I Beams inside the wing spars . There were no I Beams inside my spars but they were delivered in the parts package with the kit. I called the factory and spoke to Jak. He told me the I Beams were supposed to be installed at the factory and he didn’t know why that wasn’t done with my kit. He said this was the first time he had heard of the I Beams not being installed. He gave me instructions on how to install the I Beams over the phone. He told me I would have to get a special de-burring tool to de-burr the holes on the inside of each wing spar from the temporary rivets attaching the strut brackets. I was not able to find one of the de -burring tools he referred to so rather than order one and wait to have it delivered, I made a tool to de -burr the hole on the inside of the wing spars. Then I was able to install the I Beams as instructed.
I temporarily installed the wing struts. I drilled the wing spars and temporarily attached the strut brackets with clecos. I removed the struts and strut brackets and prepped them for installation with rivets and adhesive.
