I prepared the surface of the drag tubes and spars for adhesive. I removed the powder coating from the drag tubes using fine emery paper and scuffed the surface of the spars and two uncoated drag tubes with coarse emery paper. I taped off area surrounding the joint to try to make it as neat as possible. I secured the gussets in place with Hysol.
