I’ve been dreading the bungie wrap after reading how difficult it was on the Just forum. I ended up bolting the bungie strut between my garage door track and a 2x6 on the floor. I stood on the 2x6 while I wrapped the bungies. This kept the strut stationary during the process. It was difficult and took a lot of muscle power but not as bad as I thought it would be. After I completed the first strut I realized I should have put a light coat of grease on the male section of strut to keep it moving freely and to prevent corrosion on the bare metal. I ended up unwrapping that strut so I could grease it so I was able to enjoy the wrapping process one more time than necessary. I found that starting on the bottom horn was the easiest way to make the final wrap as I was pulling up using my legs to get the final stretch.
