I installed the ELT in the rear of the fuselage in the hardpoint provided by the factory. Prior to covering the fuselage I made up and drilled a mounting plate for the ELT tray. I mounted the tray to the mounting plate and then bolted the plate to the fuselage. I made up a cable that runs from the ELT to the panel mounted switch. In addition to the two wires needed for the panel mounted switch I installed a GPS data circuit and a ground wire. All this is per the instaltion instructions in the Artex manual. I fabricated a mounting plate for the ELT antenna and installed it aft of the baggage area .
