Been slow going, although I'm being consistent in working for a few hours every night. I find myself making a lot of little errors which I later have to correct. What's that saying about measuring twice and cutting once? Anyway, in the long run all came out well and I'm happy with the tank brackets for the right wing. Can't wait to mount the tank and see if the Checkoway method really works. I'd like to get these brackets primed and mounted permanantely. From what others are saying this is one of the more difficult areas of the wing assembly.
Needless to say I had fun riveting again. I countersunk the platenut holes for the inboard brackets and I riveted those in place. Will include pics in my next update.
Countersink of inboard platenut holes
Inboard bracket installed. Had to correct this bracket as it really belongs on the left wing,
All the right wing brackets installed. Phew! Lots of work.
