Brief Description: Dimpled and prep'd Access Covers
Working on the access covers in the warmth of my garage. Hangar too cold lately. Dressed the edges with a file and some emory cloth. Also test fit the cover on the spar itself. Fit was very good, although I might go ahead and buy the Cleveland dimples for a #6 screw. Not real happy on how my test cover came out using the Ishams dimples.
I also noticed a big difference between using the main squeeze to dimple and the DRDT-2. With the spring relief of the DRDT, I had less "spooning" for lack of a better word. The dimple-dye tolerance using the Main Squeeze is essentialy zero if you follow the directions, which in my humble opinion causes the dimple to also push down on the surrounding area. I don't get that with the DRDT-2.
So that's about it. Looking forward to the next step when I get back for the weekend.
