Still researching the proper way to drill and countersink the plate-nuts for the wing spar. Spent an hour this evening trying to mount the spar to the newly constructed Wing Stand. Believe I need a few pieces of aluminum-ange to mount the spar level. Currently one side is higher than the other.
My plan is to bolt a piece of angle to the outboard end and mount/cleco a mating piece to the spar. This should bring down that end of the spar enough to level things out. Hard to describe in words but will make sense when I post a picture.
Still trying to make sense of the wing drawings. Very complicated compared to the Empenage with a lot more detail. I'm sure by the end of this process I'll be kicking myself for not buying the ready-made "quick-build" wings. But...in the end I'll be money ahead and will know much more about wing construction.
Went up for a twilight flight before getting started. That's why I didn't get more done. Could not resis though. Absolutely beautiful out. Wind right down the runway and not a bump in the sky.
