Brief Description:  Prepped Right Tank for Pro-Seal

In preparation for riveting the Baffle on the Right Tank I went through the motions of making sure things are good to go. First I inventoried my AD-41 & 42H rivets to ensure I would not be causght short. I had to order some additional rivets from Van's in order not to run out. I then checked both the gas line pickup screen to ensure it was at the bottom of the tank and I also checked the fuel float resistance and placement when full & empty. Pictures included. Last, I went around t oall the sealing surfaces and roughed them up using a gray scotch-brite pad. I will clean things up with acetone when the wife isn't home as the smell can spread to upstairs, especially if using MEK (which I'm done with btw).

I will probably wait until I have a good three or four hour period to pro-seal. Actually, I just remembered that I must order some more plastic tips for my Sempco gun. I might have some at the hangar but if not, it looks like another order to Brown Supply if I rememeber correctly. More to follow, folks. Each time I work in the shop motivation continues to grow. I love flying my previously built RV-6 but the urge to fly something new that I've built with my own hands is always present in my mind.
