Well, it's been a while. I've worked on the plane off and on but wm currently dealing with a lot of family medical issues. Between trips to Cleveland Clinic and commutes to Northern Virginia, there hasn't been a lot of time left over.
On a more positive note, I am now leasing a hangar in Ohio (Ashland) and have moved my Piper there. And I'm in the process of moving all of my RV parts up there as well. I have until the end of June to complete this task. The hard part will be getting my wings up there, along with the wing-stand.
So this last weekend once I got the drill press set up I started trimming all of the stiffeners for the ailoerons. I've already cut them close with the snips, so now it's just a matter of using the belt sander and Scotch-Brite Wheel to make the final cuts, followed by file and sandpaper to smooth the edges. Got about 10 of them complete. Around 20 more to go.
