Brief Description:  Right Wing Leading Edge Ribs

Challenging day at the hangar. Stopped after work and completed assembly of the right wing Leading Edge Ribs. Only managed to swap one "L" with a "R", so that turned into 10 minutes of struggle trying to fit things correctly. Finally corrected that. I ended up trimming two of the ribs down a little further as the leading edges were not perfectly even. I corrected that on the bench sander and then re-primed those pieces. All was perfect when finally assembled.

Then....I had to figure out how to remount the outboard end of the Right Wing so that I could fit the Leading Edge Skin to the Spar. In trying to do that by myself I almost dropped the entire wing, but fortunately I managed to catch everything by the cleco's before any damage was done. In the end I managed to prop things up on some 2x4's and remount the brace to the outboard rib. Now it's nice and secure.

Plan for my next visit will be to wood-screw that mid-wing rib brace to the wing-stand, and then start cleco'ing the rib-flanges to the Spar. Must also mount the Left Wing upper skins back on. Not sure why I took them off in the first place. Been a couple weeks.

So in the end it was a very productive night and I feel good about giving a solid three hour effort after a long day at work. Hangar was quite cold and it was raining out, so not much else going on. Things are slowly coming together. Adding another big-piece to the right wing makes me happy. :-)
