Brief Description:  Left Rear Spar - Completed

Had a great time after work knocking out the Rear Spar on the left side. Lost track of time and before I knew it the time was 10pm.

Two days prior I primed all of the pieces, and then yesterday I threw a coat of zinc chromate over the first spar because the initial prime came out splotchy. Guess that's the hazard of painting in the winter and using a spray gun that hasn't been used in a while.

Overall it was a very easy process of riveting the doubler plates and fork to the spar. It was somewhat difficult trying to figure out which holes not to rivet, but I think I'm in good shape there. I'm not beyond drilling out an errant rivet if it comes to that. It's difficult leaving so much for another step though.

I was somewhat dissapointed in my riveting skill though. It's been a while, and I did manage to leave a few smiles along the way. My close up vision is really getting the best of me, and working alone at night gets me into various situations where I'm trying to hold three things with two hands. Oh well, overall I did a good job, but at this point in the proect you'd think I would have this down perfect.
