Brief Description:  Rolled Rudder Leading Edge

What a pain, but the hard part is now done. With the help and persistence of Katie, we managed to roll the leading edge using a section of 3/4" steel pipe taped to the aluminum edges. While I turned the pipe with Channel Locks, Katie would hold things in place with her channel locks while I repositioned. Took a couple hours, but for the most part everything is bent with the proper radius.

I need to come back later in the week to bend the edges a little more to create a nice tight seam across the Elevator.

Hard to explain, but we also used steel "hooks" bolted to the workbench to help hold the pipe down. By drilling into the workbench and bolting a half-hook in place, that kept the pipe close to the bench while bending the edge around. Sorry, no picture, but I saw that idea on VansAirforce so you should be able to find it there.

So one more major assembly point is almost done. Thanks Katie!!!
