Brief Description:  Vertical Stab: Skin Riveting & Rudder Assembly

Very good day at the Hangar!! Finally the Vertical Stabalizer Skin has been riveted to the Front Spar and Ribs. Awaiting final prime of the Rear Spar to complete assembly. Hopefully will have time to prime the Rear Spar on the way home from work tomorrow.

Both Katie and Jeremy stopped by the hangar and were a tremendous help! Jeremy assisted with the Rudder Assembly by Cleco'ing the stiffeners in place. He then assisted with match drilling and deburring. Still have the other side to go, but we're way ahead.

I think Katie and I have the rivet process down pat. Only one potential re-do required, will decide tomorrow. One rivet out of a hundred isn't bad. She's good with the bucking bar, and I prefer banging the rivets with the 3X gun. Seems to work. Not to mention that she can fit her arm between the skins of the Vertical Stab, and I can't.

Also worked on the Compressor. Bought an in-line filter assembly to separate moisture. Ended up buying a few fitting to make it all work. Filter was 3/8 inch, yet the piping on the compressor was 1/4. Had to buy some transition fittings at the hardware store.
