Brief Description: Finish Elevator Control Install
Finished the install of the elevator control. Clearanced the aft fuselage channel that would allow full travel of the elevator without contact between the control rod and the fuselage. Once that was solved, I reassembled the short and long control tubes, drilled, disassembled, deburred, primed, reassembled and bolted the entire assembly into place.
Finished up by attaching the bungee cable to the control stick assembly which is supposed to hold the elevator in a neutral to slightly down position when the stick is released. Played with it quite a bit and it only works if you return the stick to something close to center. If you let go in the full aft position it will not quite return to center without a nudge. I'll play with this some more and see what others have done.
