Began the hook up of the elevator control rod to the stick grip assembly. Attached the short tube from the stick assembly to the bellcrank, then the short length from the bellcrank to the long tube slip fit. Had to remove all of the powder coating from the slip fit area to allow the two to slip together. Once I got the fit right I painted the bare metal with self etching primer.
I did encounter a problem in the tail area after fitting. The control rod was contacting the top of the pass through area in the final upright channel. I'll have to grind that out to gain the correct clearance and prevent contact.
Late night now so I'll finish fitting and drill for the attach bolts later.
