Settled on the throttle/mixture quadrant location as well as the trim wheel. I had considered putting the mixture at the bottom of the panel as well but decided to keep the two together. The mixture is a bit close to the throttle quadrant, but I think I can live with it. My recommendation to Sonex would be to lengthen the extension piece and pull the mixture about a half inch further away so that you can comfortably place a finger between the quadrant and the outside of the mix handle.
Mounted the trim to the crossmember. I prefer this mounting solution, but I'm having my doubts as to how much stuff (flap, brake, trim, mix) is jammed into a very small area. I'll spend some more time sitting and hangar flying from the seat to see if I can live with this location.
Finished the night by pulling out the Aeroconversions baffle kit and bending the pieces according to the plans. Will need to get these parts setup and installed to finish installing the oil cooler on the engine.
